Crikey! I've only gone and completed a boxset! Here's my take on Citadel Miniatures' RuneQuest Set 4a: The Broo! (2), sculpted by one or other of the Perry Twins and released in 1983.
Cheers Mike. Best beastmen range ever, for my money (literally). Looking forward to seeing your take on the beasties lurking in the forest around Heiligsheld.
Great new additions to the horde (herd?)! As with the previous Broo/beastmen, I enjoy the creativity the sculptors had when they did these models. It just seems like they were having fun!
PS- I finally painted the Ragnarok goblins you sent me. Great figures to work on! There are a few pics in my LAF fantasy thread.
Thanks Pat. I've just had a peek at your freshly painted gobbos. Awesome work as always. I think Colin Patten sculpts really benefit from a 'realistic' style paint job, and these are bob-on.
Just a heads-up: Gripping Beast are winding down their operation, so now might be the time to grab any other bits from the Ragnarok range that have taken your fancy. If you only want a few bits and the international shipping is proving too pricey, we could perhaps split an order and I could then forward on. Just a thought.
Thanks for mentioning Gripping Beast and offering to split an order. I did see that they’re winding down operations (a huge shame, but understandable that they want to retire). I immediately did some panic buying and ordered a pile of the Ragnarok figures!
Proper beastmen.
ReplyDeleteI have myself only 3 (thanks to someone great) but they are ready to be primed.
They are exactly what you want from some wrong 'uns.
